A yellow lock will appear on the gray task bar at the bottom of your screen. The connection is secured by means of the SSL-technique, which is a technique widely used by many financial institutions, ensuring that the messages between your computer and that of De Surinaamsche Bank are in a code only known by these two computers.

• Never show your username and password to anyone else

• Do not use obvious passwords

• Change your password from time to time

• Make sure you have the most recent anti-virus programs and always activate them

• Check if the connection between your computer and that of De Surinaamsche Bank is secure by double-clicking on the lock. The data of the secured connection will appear on your screen.

A: Once you have logged on Internet Banking, you will be asked to change your password. Your password should have 6 characters, containing at least 1 digit.

A: By clicking on Account Services you will get a complete overview of your account. You can choose between Accounts and Status of Checks.

A: By clicking on Account Inquiry you will get details about your account.


Q: What is meant by the Last 10 Debits and Credits?

A: Here you can view the last 10 debits and credits (transaction data) of each of your accounts.

A: By clicking on Account History you can request a history of the debits and credits of an account. Enter the period you want information about.


Q: What is Status of Cheques?

A: By clicking on Status of Cheques you can check if the last 4 cheques you wrote have been cashed and debited.


Q: What is Payments?

A: By clicking Payments you can make transfers to other accounts, local as well as international transfers. You can choose from Intra Account Transfers, Wire Transfers, Standing Orders and Bill Payment.


Q: What is Intra Account Transfers?

A: Intra Account Transfers enables you to make transfers to and from your own accounts. Only same currency transfers are possible.


Q: What is Wire Transfers?

A: Wire Transfers enables you to make international transfers. Instructions received before 11 o’clock a.m. will be processed the same day.


Q: What is Standing Orders?

A: By clicking on Standing Orders you can give the bank instructions to make periodical payments and have them transferred automatically on a set frequency. Just write the starting date and the date of the last payment and the frequency of the transfers.


Q: What is Bill Payment?

A: With Bill Payment it is possible to make payments, directly or predefined for the future, at De Surinaamsche Bank as well as at other local banks.


Q: What is Stop Payment on a Cheque?

A: You can instruct the bank to stop payment on a cheque by clicking Stop Payment on a Cheque. You can also place a block on lost or stolen cheques.


Q: What is meant by Order Cheque Books?

A: Via Order Cheque Books you can order 5 (at the most) new cheque books for your checkings account.

A: Click on Request your Statement to request 1 or more statements.

A: With File Upload our business clients can give large orders for payment. For example, to pay salaries. This option can be used to replace the giro payment disks.

A: With Send Mail you can send an e-mail to the bank.
